Frequently asked questions

Still unsure? Get in touch — Matt replies within 24 hours.

How do sessions work?

Sessions are one-to-one and online, usually an hour long. You join with one click in your browser (nothing to install) and work face to face on a shared whiteboard, with worksheets and chat alongside. Afterwards, homework is set and marked online and the resources stay in your account.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is a diagnostic. We pinpoint exactly where your child is losing marks, then build their plan from there, so every session after that is aimed at what will make the biggest difference.

How much does it cost?

Prices start from £35 an hour. You can pay by card as you book, or use pre-purchased session credits. Full details are on the Pricing page.

Can I try it before committing?

Yes. Matt offers a free, no-obligation 15–30 minute video consultation. There is no long-term commitment: you book sessions as and when you want them.

What if I need to cancel or rearrange?

You can cancel or reschedule for free up to 24 hours before a session starts. With less than 24 hours’ notice, or if a session is missed, it may be charged in full. See the Terms of Service for details.

Who will be teaching?

Matt, a practising classroom teacher with 16 years’ secondary teaching experience and an enhanced DBS certificate.

What do we need to get started?

A device with a microphone and a screen, plus pen and paper. A laptop is best, and a writing tablet is a nice extra but not essential.
